Getting Married in the Rain - The Bachelor Wedding
Did you watch ABC's The Bachelor Wedding last night? It was the highly anticipated reality TV wedding of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, complete with lavish details like a Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and a fabulous Californian cliff-side resort. The only problem? The producers didn't plan for a rain location.
Yep, that's right. Though they waited for a break in the rain to start the ceremony, the skies opened up again during the wedding vows. It looked like a torrential downpour, and while the wedding guests all had clear umbrellas, the bride and groom got completely soaked. It's the most classic of wedding planning mistakes, and yet the producers didn't plan for it! How did that happen!? Don't let this happen to you: read my 10 Tips for an Outdoor Wedding

It's Women's Day - Celebrate the Women in Your Life!
It's International Women's Day today, when we honor the work and achievements of women around the world. 10/10/10 ... 12/11/10 ... 1/1/11 ... 11/11/11
Okay, maybe they're not inherently lucky wedding dates, but they're certainly easy to remember! And if your future spouse remembers your anniversary easily, I'd call that lucky. If you're engaged, consider these upcoming wedding dates:
10/10/10 - October 10, 2010 - Sunday
12/11/10 - December 11, 2010 - Saturday
1/1/11 - January 1st, 2011 - Saturday
11/11/11 - November 11, 2011 - Saturday

Having an Intimate Wedding
In fairy tales, all little girls dream of big white weddings with tons of pomp and circumstance and all the trimmings. But in real life, this is only sometimes true. Not every girl dreams about getting married at all! And some of those who do dream of tying the knot want to say their vows with only a few close friends and family surrounding them.
Are you someone who dreams of having a small, intimate wedding? While it will mean some tough guest list decisions, it can save you tons of money, and allow you more creativity with locations and details. I've been loving this site which specializes in events with under 75 guests, and has a small venue finder. You might also consider eloping - just the two of you will be a very small and very intimate wedding!
